You have just experienced another one of Converse's many traditions - 1889 Week! Personally, it is one of my favorite times on campus. There is a buzz around. Students demonstrate an enormous level of class spirit. Creativity is bursting on campus with the banners, skit & dance routines, and tailgate decorating. Plus, the amount of coins and cans raised in just one week is amazing. All classes should be proud of what they accomplished last week.
My hope is that the freshmen class had fun! I always feel like the freshmen class is at somewhat of a disadvantage but, you all ROCKED! You thought creatively and strategically with the coin war, and used this to boost your can drive, and along the way I think you learned some tricks to implement for the next year. It was exciting for me to see the energy within your class. Keep it up. You all will continue to shine over the next four years.
